All that we were...

I opened the door
to all the we were
pieces of life,
now lay on the floor.

A gaze to what was,
writings on the wall
like in ancient caves
tell us of a life, now gone

Covered in dust,
memories, that's all
Sounds once lively
now are silent.

Look at the roses
its like they know
they hung their heads,
as the past is gone.

Look through the window,
peep through a hole
break into the place
you once called home
it once held your heart but it holds it no more
all and all its just a story to be told.

Its like a vision
we were so young
your dreams were intact
my dreams weren't even born.

Our love was a fresh new bud
and now lays in pieces
in the old home
along with history,
and the things we should have told.

Feel the wind,
its like it knows
wipes out the cobwebs
sweeps away the old.

Look through the window
peep through a hole
break into the place
you once called home
it once held your heart but it holds it no more
because the past is the past and this past is gone.

(to be song lyrics by E.V.)
